How Disney Can Make You Feel So Many Feelings

Disney has been churning out movie classics for decades. What makes them so good is that they run us through the entire gamut of emotions in a short period of time. We laugh. We cry. We love. We hate. We’re scared. We’re inspired. There isn’t a feeling that isn’t left uncovered. Like a good roller coaster ride that has the biggest hills, twists and turns, we leave a Disney movie emotionally satisfied.

Music is a huge part of any movie and Disney takes full advantage. The main title songs are often complete stories unto themselves. They move us to tears. They lift us out of our seats. They just seem to hit all the right emotional buttons. You gotta Love That Feeling!

There are lists on the net of 100 Greatest Disney Songs. Yes, there are that many, and more! For the sake of this survey, I’ve narrowed my own personal favorites list down to ten. For me, the writing and craftsmanship of both the composers and lyricists are simply a cut above all other Disney songs. To me, these works are flawless examples of writing at it’s best.

Here is my Top Ten Greatest Disney Songs of All Time. They are in no particular order right now. I’m going to let YOU decide your favorite. There’s even a place on the survey for you to insert an alternate song should you disagree with my selections.
