Color Me Surprised!
Well here we are at post #100. Who would have thought that a little Valentine’s Gift would evolve into the start of a serious blogging career? The world really is a crazy place sometimes where we always get what we want – just in the most unusual ways.
As an example of how unpredictable life can be, I was looking back over my first 99 posts. To be honest, I had forgotten much of what I had written over the last eight months. In some cases, it was like I was reading someone else’s writing! From that perspective, I thought the articles were pretty darned good.
Such was the case with my very first post written back on February 27, 2009. I started this blog with a very clear purpose and I think I’ve stayed the course extremely well so far.
Love That Feeling Introduction
The most surprising aspect though was when I checked my stats to see which articles were getting the most attention. I discovered that my ‘Color’ series (Articles #7-17) are still by far the most popular combining for nearly 2,000 views this month alone.
I did quite a bit of research for this series. If you want to know what color flowers or gem stones go with specific occasions; if you want to avoid embarrassment at multi-cultural events; if you want to know the effects of surrounding yourself with certain colors; all while be entertained with some great music… the ‘Color’ series is for you.
I am thinking of compiling this series of 11 articles into one, easy to access e-Book. If you are interested in receiving a copy, please let me know. It’s a bit of work but I will do it if the interest is there. For now, here are the links to the entire ‘Color’ series:
Colors – The Unspoken Communicators
White – The Beginning and the End
Wake Up and Smell… the Orange Juice
Song Sung Blue – Everybody Knows One
Indigo – You Ain’t Been Blue, No-No-No
Violet – Or Is It Purple… Or Is It…
Brown – You Can Always Count On Brown
Once again, please do let me know if you would be interested in receiving this entire ‘Color’ series in e-Book format, FREE to you for reading this post!
Now THAT’S Funny!
One of the easiest and fastest ways to ‘Feel Better NOW‘ is to find ways to laugh about your situation. You’ve heard the saying, “Someday we’ll look back on this and laugh.” Well, why not learn to make that ‘someday’ sooner rather than later?
Are You Neat or Are You Clean?
Needles – Ten Things You Don’t Want to Hear When Getting a Shot
The last article, while I originally wrote it with the full intention of being ‘funny’, became my most controversial post, all because of one, tiny little word, “Hot”. Be sure to check it out and see what all the fuss is about.
And speaking of controversial…
I Can’t Believe You Said That!
In these articles I stick my neck out and take on religion, formal education and even look at the preference of having kids vs. pets.

Hi Russ
Congratulations on your 100th Post. Was it all worth while?
Thanks Steve
Absolutely, it has been well worth the effort. I already have my sights firmly fixed on #1,000 a couple years out there.
I appreciate the support from all my readers, many who are family and personal friends. Now I’m gaining momentum and receiving encouragement from other well-established bloggers. Even some of my most respected mentors are now adding their generous comments and inspiration.
Yes indeed, knowing that I’m adding value to even one person’s life makes it all very much worth while. Now as the blog grows, I will be reaching out to more people everywhere… well, I just Love That Feeling!
